Lionfish
A Lionfish poses for a photograph, spreading its venomous spines for all to see. Lionfish live at coral reefs near islands in the Pacific Ocean. Their fins have long spines. These spines protect the lionfish from predators, and can inject venom into a predator that attacks the lionfish.
This Lionfish was 10 inches long.
